Updated Everyday Make Up Products

Image
Sorry again for the bad quality picture, I'm currently away for the weekend and sillily didn't bring my laptop so I am unable to transport my camera pics to my blog. They will be better pics from now on again, promise. So recently I have changed up my everyday make up again for a more simple, quicker daily routine when it come to applying my face in the morning.  As I spoke about in one of my previous posts I can't be dealing with full on foundation at the moment and so I find concealing under my eyes and any blemishes does the trick pretty well. I use the L'Oreal brow artist in the darkest shade on my brows as it is a perfect colour match for my brows and is so quick and easy to apply in the mornings. The L'Oreal colour riche single eyeshadow in this shimmery nude shade has been my go to daily eyeshadow as it is so super creamy and blends like a dream. Rimmel scandal eyes eyeliner in nude has been a life saver for days when I have been up late and the

Best Of Bronzers

Image
Benefit Hoola Bronzer- £23.50 - This is more on the pricey side but I would definitely say it is worth getting your hands on if possible. Its not at all orangey which I have found a lot of bronzers can be and it doesn't look like you are covering yourself in a layer of mud- which I would definitely say is a positive! It has more grey undertones which are great for people with paler skin. It's pretty pigmented so a little goes a long way, don't be too heavy handed as it can all get a bit too much pretty quickly (as I would know from personal experiences). I love this bronzer and use it daily!   NYC Sunny Bronzer- £1.99 - This is a fabulous dupe for Hoola and for such a similar product at a fraction of the price you cant really go wrong with this. Although the colour is slightly more orange toned and a tad less pigmented than hoola it is still fabulous for the price and makes you look like you've been on holiday and caught the sun.   Bourjois Bronzing Prim

Top 5 Make-up Brushes

Image
I don't know if I have ever mentioned my make up brush addiction on my blog before and I don't know why but I just can't help myself when it comes to adding new brushes to my collection. Real Techniques Buffing Brush - I, like the majority of beauty fanatics will have tried a real techniques brush and if you haven't what have you been doing with your life?! They are quite simply fantastic, the synthetic fibres mean they don't absorb much product are really soft and extremely easy to wash. The buffing brush is a definite favourite for buffing (duh) in foundation to create a flawless looking finish on the skin. EBay Round Top Concealer Brush - I use this for pretty much everything- concealing, blending, contouring.. you name it this brush can do it. Again it is super soft and applies and blends product out so easily. I got this in a set of 15 brushes from eBay (I have a post on all of them) and all of them are surprisingly extremely good quality for the

Ditching The Heavy Stuff

Image
Glowing, dewy (not greasy) skin is very sought after during summer and there are lots of products on the market to help achieve it. Heavy foundations which block my pores and end up sliding around my face during the day in the heat is not particularly the best look so altering my daily make up routine has definitely made me feel a lot better about how my skin is looking. Lightweight products that enhance your natural dewiness are always welcomed1 Products such as tinted moisturisers or BB creams are fab alternatives to foundation as they give some coverage to even out the skin tone but they allow your skin to breathe and look natural and glowing. The majority of tinted moisturisers also come with SPF's ranging from about 8-20 which is definitely useful when in the sun. Powdering lightly around the T-zone is often a good idea to keep the oil at bay (if you have oily skin) and set your BB cream or tinted moisturiser for the day. I think that drugstores do particularly well for s

Eyeliner

Image
I used to find eyeliners such a daunting thing to attempt and there were always so many different types of formulas to try out it can seem quite overwhelming so I steered clear from trying out anything other than a thin line on my upper lash line for quite a while. But after A LOT of trial and error at home I have become pretty confident with different looks. Using eyeliner in different ways can really enhance how your make-up ties together.   Liquid eyeliner is probably my favourite thing to use of the moment, especially with this L'Oreal one. It is so easy to apply and simple to create flawless flicks and wings with. It does take practise but once you've got the hang of it you will be amazed at how perfect a line you can achieve! Pencil eyeliner is perfect for creating smudgy eye looks or used in the tightline to make your eyelashes look fuller at the root, this Avon Supershock one has had a lota love as you can probably tell from how worn down its got, it goes

Simple Festival Look

Image
On Saturday I went with my friends to V festival at Hylands Park. V festival is a music festival and people such as Ed Sheeran, Bastille, Example and Justin Timberlake were just a few people who performed there. It was a really enjoyable day and I thought some of you may be interested in seeing the outfit and make up I wore that day. I kept my makeup quite simple with a tad of BB cream and concealer to cover any imperfections and to even out my skin-tone because I wanted to concentrate mainly on my eyes with a slightly shimmery slightly bronze natural smokey eye with winged eyeliner. I mainly just used my Naked Basics Palette for this along with L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow in Cafe St Germain  which I have been using almost daily and I'm seriously loving it! Eyeliner is my go-to L'Oreal superliner (post on eyeliners coming up soon). Outfit is pretty simple too, I found these shorts in new look in the sale section last week for only £9 and I really liked ho
