Skincare Must-Haves For Glowing Skin During Winter

The weather has well and truly turned in the UK now and the bitterly cold air has really taken its toll on my skin. Therefore, I have been trying my best to combat my dry skin this Winter through formulating a super thirst-quenching skin care routine.

Firstly, comes cleanser and for me removing my make up properly is a big deal so I try and double cleanse on a daily basis to get rid of any product build up in my pores and just get my skin feeling really nourished and clean. My two faves at the moment are my trusty Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm  and my Super Facialist Vitamin C Skin Renew Cleansing Oil. Both of which are great at really thoroughly deep cleaning while still leaving my face feeling soft and not at all tight or dry. I particularly love using the Vitamin C+ Cleansing oil in the morning before make up as I feel like it really brightens and creates a beautifully smooth base for make up.

I then sweep across my Pixi Glow Tonic (How amazing is this 500ml bottle by the way?!) with a cotton pad. This removes any dead skin cells and further brightens the face, closing pores and gently exfoliating. I find that this has helped me so so much with any breakouts I get as it really properly cleanses the skin with its beautiful ingredients known to combat bad skin. (5% glycolic acid, plus aloe vera, witch hazel and ginseng)

My serum of choice will come as no surprise. Effaclar Duo+ has been in my skin care routine for years and I heavily rely on it to keep my hormonal breakouts at bay and my skin feeling fresh. It is a really lightweight serum that sinks into the skin amazingly quickly, leaving a lovely smooth surface to apply a daily or night moisturiser.

Which leads onto my Ren Vita Mineral Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream. I have super dry skin in winter and I find that this just tranforms it from a really dry flaky mess into a hydrated glowing complexion. It's consistency is possibly thicker than what I would normally opt for but I have been finding it really keeping my skin from drying out and is a fab base to follow with make up. Love!

Finally,  my weekly ritual at the moment is treating myself to the Super Facialist Salicylic Acid Anti Blemish Clay Mask. At only £6.66 I am so impressed with how this compares to my former favourite, the Origins Clear improvements clay mask. This one really deep cleans the skin and when I remove it I can really feel that it has done a wonderful job at smoothing and tightening, again whilst combating dry patches. I think everyone needs to use a face mask every once in a while to reap the benefits and see a huge difference in the quality of their skin!

So, combined all of these products have been seeing me through the colder months and I don't know what I'd do without them!
