3 of the best travel minis for a flawless base

Image
As a university student I feel as though I'm constantly travelling back home for weekends or to visit friends at other unis. This has lead me to curate a reasonably light make up bag, allowing extra room for just one more "out out" top, on top of the 64 I have already packed. This means that if there is ever a mini product I am drawn to not only its cuteness but also its practicality. The 3 minis that have not left my make up bag are: Mac Strobe Cream 30ml - This is the most gorgeous illuminating cream, I use it under make up if my skin is feeling particularly dull and I find that it makes my make up apply considerably better. It is a cool toned, slightly shimmery cream which just about glistens through make up.  Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in the shade Golden Light 2.25g - This mini bronzing compact is one of my most fave products at the moment. The teeny packaging is super cute and so easy to pack when travelling. The shade is the perfect not too ashy n...

The Jenner Lip

Image
Kylie Jenner has caused quite the uproar recently surrounding the sudden fullness of her lips and the world and his wife all want to get their hands on the products she seems to be using. Not going to lie, Myself included. Mac's matte lipstick in Velvet Teddy has been sold out worldwide and on setting my friend a mission to find it whilst abroad I wasn't overly hopeful, however she found it in a teeny Mac store in the middle of nowhere, woooo. It is a pinky browny nude slightly darker than the colour of my lips and perfect for lazy days and being paired with absolutely any make up look! This, accompanied by the pro longwear lip pencil in the shade Nice N Spicy and we are on to a winner! It is pretty much exactly the same shade as the lipstick and really does make this lip last all day! Really chuffed with this find, and there will no doubt be a look going on my blog of this lip combo in action! What are your favourite lipsticks? Lots of lo...

Soft Ocre

Image
The latest edition to my MAC family comes in the form of the pro longwear paint pot in the shade Soft Ocre. It is one of those well renowned cult products that the world and her dog seems to own. So I couldn't help jumping on the bandwagon. This is the perfect yellow toned base for all over the lid to get rid of any pigmentation or veins that you want to cover up if going for a natural make up look. Also it does what it says on the pot and pro longs eyeshadow wear without creasing. The formula isn't drying although once set lasts up to 12 hours. Definitely up there in my top recent purchases. Lots of love Son, x

The Highlight

Image
Highlighters have never really been my jam so to speak and to be honest they still aren't but this Mac mineralized skin finish in soft and gentle  £23 has been a fab for those days where my skin is just in the need for a little bit of a glow. My gosh does this swirled, luminescent, shimmery beauty look wonderful in the pan, who wouldn't want to smear a shed load of glitter on their face. Okay, no I exaggerate, the beauty of this is that although it is massively shimmery in pan, when dusted lightly onto the tops of the cheekbones creates the most gorgeous glow without looking like a disco ball having slathered glitter all over the face using some kind of rollerball gadget, we all used to do it (not the best of looks), c'mon don't deny it! I use this with a small flat topped brush and find that this works best at distributing even amounts of product. Probably not something I would reach for on an everyday basis but gre...
